At Lawn Primary and Nursery School we believe that all children and young people have the right to an education, regardless of their home circumstances. We acknowledge that there are likely to be Young Carers among our pupils, and that being a young carer can have an adverse effect on a young person’s education.

Here at Lawn Primary and Nursery we hold regular meetings with our young carers, giving them the opportunity to be with other pupils in similar circumstances. We provide them with an environment where they can talk and have fun, enjoying a variety of activities that the young carers plan with staff.
