At Lawn Primary and Nursery School, children study a wide range of history units in line with the expectations of the National Curriculum. Children have the opportunity to learn more about many influential people and eras from within British history and those of significance from around the world.  In addition to developing historical knowledge, we also plan for the development of skills, which can be found in our Lawn Primary and Nursery School History Progression Map. 

We also believe in enriching the history curriculum through using a variety of resources as well as ensuring children gain experiences through visits to places, museums and other areas of interest within the local area.  We also invite outside visitors to run workshops or talk to the children about history topics.
