Lawn Primary & Nursery School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All staff, student teachers and  volunteers are subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.

Concerns about the welfare or safety of pupils will be discussed with  parents/carers, unless to do so would increase the risk to the child. In this instance advice will be sought from CONTACT Swindon. Our first priority is the child’s welfare and therefore there may be occasions when concerns about a child means that we have to consult other agencies before we contact the parent/carer. The school will keep a record of any such concerns and the subsequent actions and outcomes. These records are stored confidentially.
