Welcome from Miss Jelley

Welcome to Lawn Primary and Nursery school. We hope you get a flavour of our school from the information you see within the pages of our website. We are proud to have been part of the Lawn community since 1958. We have an onsite nursery for children aged from two to four years old and the primary section of our school caters for children from Reception through to Year 6. We are lucky enough to have extensive grounds, which we enjoy utilising as part of our everyday learning and wider curriculum.

We pride ourselves on our nurturing and caring approach, as we want our children to be happy and feel safe in school.  We make every effort to create a positive atmosphere where we show our children respect and care to enable them to develop educationally, emotionally, morally, spiritually and physically.  We realise that starting school at any time is an exciting time for children but does bring its own worries, which we hope we can allay with the support we offer and through our friendly approach.

We aim to equip our children with a love of learning and to enable them to develop the knowledge and skills for future learning and life.  The fulfilment of this goal we believe to be evident in our pupils at Lawn Primary and Nursery School who are well behaved, respectful, caring and good mannered with a positive attitude towards learning.  We aim for our pupils to leave Lawn Primary and Nursery School as well rounded individuals, ready to be good citizens of the future, strengthened by the skill set, experiences and knowledge they have gained and mastered during their educational journey with us.

If you would like to visit Lawn Primary and Nursery, you will be made most welcome.  We look forward to meeting you and being able to talk about and answer questions regarding our school of which we are very proud. Through seeing our school in action, we would hope to provide you with a more detailed view of what we have to offer.
